Notes
- Growing up, every so often my parents would drop by the local fortune cookie factory and pick up a grocery sized bag of fortune cookie discards for .25 cents. If the worker didn't move fast enough to form the fortune cookie, the cookie would cool down, frozen into various shapes during the process of manual manipulation. These are known as the discards or rejects. My siblings and I would dig through the bag and look for the ones that are close to the final shape of a fortune cookie. Those are the ones with the fortune in them!
