The Catch
![]() |
A male Osprey bringing a fish back to its mate which was sitting on the nest. The male was gone for quite awhile, 15 - 20 minutes, hunting for food. Upon its return, the female Osprey took the fish and flew off, leaving the male to sit on the eggs.

Even while constantly being attacked by one of a pair of nesting Ospreys, this guy would not give up on going after fish.

Napoleon Empereur Des Francais

"Napoleon Emperor of France" Medals are at the top of this building. Such amazing architecture that unless you're looking up, most people would never notice it and if you do see it, you'll miss the details without using something to zoom in on it.

You Looking At Me?
![]() |
This is from the zoo near Camden Lock in London, UK, a few weeks ago when I was in London with my famly.
We were walking along the river, when we'd heard some bird calls. We'd looked up in the direction of the sounds and saw these huge trees with netting around them. I'd poked my camera through the bushes, pointed my 70-200L f/4 lens up towards the direction of the atrium, was looking through the camera trying to see what kind of birds were there when suddenly it popped up its' head and stared in my direction. Reflexively, I'd depressed the button...
It's may not be the sharpest, clearest shot, but considering it was shot through netting, a slightly overcast sky and at the maximum 200mm which usually requires a tripod... it's not that bad and captures the expression. Not all shots can be technically perfect, it's all about the moment.
